CPR and First Aid

This First Aid and CPR/AED course is provided through The American Heart Association and covers a variety of skills and topics. You will receive a Heartsaver First Aid and CPR/AED course completion card that is good for two years. The instructor has over 15 years of field experience that he will bring to the course to make it exciting and fun. There will be several videos and lots of hands-on practice during the course. The topics to be covered are as follows:
CPR/AED:
Adult/Child/Infant CPR (Hands only CPR, Compressions, Mouth to Mouth, Mouth to Mask, AED, Scenarios, etc.)
AED use for all ages (How to use and place pads, Administering a shock)
Choking for all ages (Heimlich for Adults and Children, Back Blows and Chest Thrusts for infants).
FIRST AID:
Scene Safety, Calling 911, Protecting yourself while giving First Aid, Medical Emergencies (Heart Attacks, Strokes, Fainting, Shock, Epi-pen use, etc.) Injury Emergencies (Bleeding, Cuts, Burns, Bandaging, Tourniquets, etc.) Environmental Emergencies (Bites and Stings, Hypothermia, Hyperthermia, Poisons, etc.)
